Maruti XL7

Last Updated On 2nd Apr’23 : Maruti Suzuki recently showcased the XL7 at the 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show. It is identical to the XL6 sold in India but comes with a bench for the 2nd row, thereby giving 3 seats. This takes the total number of seats to 7 as compared to 6 that the XL6 offers. Maruti shoud look at introducing the XL7 in India as well as the XL6 is already doing good numbers. The XL7 if launched, could be offered with a factory fitted CNG kit as well.

Maruti XL7 Engine : The updated 1.5-litre petrol unit that is sold with both a 5 speed manual as well as a 6 speed automatic gearbox. Maruti will also offer a CNG kit as an option with the 5 speed manual gearbox. This engine scores high marks in terms of refinement levels and fuel efficiency on offer. However, with a full load, it isn’t a very peppy engine.

Maruti XL7 Features: If launched, the XL7 will be a feature loaded family MPV. Some of these will include air-con vents in all rows, cruise control system, climate (automatic) control, touchscreen with support for Android Auto and Apple Carplay, cooled cup holders etc. We can also expect LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and alloy wheels.

Maruti XL7 Rivals: If launched, the XL7 will rival a lot of other MPVs in India. This includes its own Nexa cousin the XL6 and Arena cousin the Ertiga. Apart from this, it will also lock horns with the Mahindra Marazzo and the Kia Carens.

Maruti XL7 Launch & Price: Maruti has not confirmed anything around the launch time frame of the XL7. However, there might be a possibility that the company showcase it at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo. Pricing should start at around the Rs 11 lakh mark.
