Renault City K-ZE

Expected Launch Date

Renault’s K-ZE electric vehicle made its debut in India during the 2020 Auto Expo. The CMF-A platform is used in the K-ZE hatchback. Renault intends to build the electric hatchback in India, with an expected December 2022 launch date.

Renault City K-ZE Price:

The Renault City K-ZE is projected to cost between 5.00 and 6.00 lakhs.

Renault City K-ZE Features:

The Renault City K-ZE has restyled front and back bumpers, as well as split headlights with LED DRLs which are at the same level as the chrome grille that also serves as a charging port. The front grille is more aerodynamically designed and closed. The City K-ZE will come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a part-digital instrument cluster, dual front airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a rear parking camera as standard features. The hatchback will also support 4G WiFi connectivity, remote vehicle telemetry and a PM2.5 air quality sensor. The gear selector knob on the centre console will be identical to the one seen on the Kwid AMT. ORVM-mounted turn indicators and machine-finished dual-tone alloy wheels will be available on the City K-ZE. The K-ZE will be equipped with 14-inch wheels and 165/70-section tyres.

Renault City K-ZE Performance:

The Renault City K-ZE is expected to come with a lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 26.8kWh, and a front-axle mounted automatic transmission motor that will provide 44PS of max power and 125 Nm of peak torque. A 6.6kWh AC charging source will take 4 hours to fully charge the battery pack. The City K-ZE will also offer DC fast charging, which can charge batteries from 30% to 80% in about half an hour. It is expected to have a top speed of 105 kilometers per hour and a reported range of 350 kilometers at 60 kilometers per hour.

Renault City K-ZE Capacity:

The Renault City K-ZE will feature a seating capacity of five passengers. The K-ZE will have around a 300-liter boot capacity.

Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, Datsun redi-GO, Renault Kwid, and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R will be among Renault City K-ZE’s competitors.
