Battery, Electric Motor and Range: The India-spec Ioniq 5 gets a 72.6kWh battery pack paired with a single motor churning out 217PS and 350Nm. It gets a rear-wheel drivetrain and offers an ARAI-claimed range of 631km.

Charging: Hyundai has put two charging options on offer: a 150kW charger that can fill it up from 0 to 80 per cent in 21 minutes and a 50kW charger that does the same task in an hour.

Features: Its features list comprises integrated dual 12.3-inch infotainment and driver displays, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and a heads-up display.

Safety: In terms of passenger safety, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and a 360-degree camera.

Rivals: The Ioniq 5 competes with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Kia EV6.
