Latest Update: Mercedes has launched the EQS 580 4MATIC, and it has already attracted over 300 bookings.

Price: The EQS electric sedan is priced between Rs 1.55 crore and 2.45 crore (ex-showroom pan-India).

Variants: It is offered in two trims: EQS 580 4MATIC and AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+.

Boot Space: The boot loading capacity of the EQS is 610 litres.

Battery, Electric Motor and Range: The EQS makes use of an all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) with the motor powered by a 107.8kWh battery pack. The AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ churns out 658PS and 950Nm and comes with a WLTP-claimed range of up to 586km. With the dynamic pack, this setup makes a total of 761PS and 1020Nm. The EQS 580 4MATIC on the other hand produces 523PS and 855Nm, and has an ARAI-claimed range of 857km on a single charge.

Charging: It supports fast charging at up to 200kW, which can juice up its battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. The EQS 580 has the same charging time as the AMG EQS 53, which isn’t surprising as they share the same battery.

Features: The electric sedan boasts amenities such as a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, which is a three-screen single-piece unit including a digital driver’s display, infotainment system and a screen for the passenger. Additionally, it also gets a 15-speaker 710W Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, and powered seats with massage function.

Safety: Passenger safety is taken care of by nine airbags and a host of ADAS features like active distance assist, active brake assist with cross-traffic function, active steering assist and attention assist.

Rivals: The Mercedes-Benz EQS  takes on the likes of the Audi RS e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan.
