Tata Nexon iCNG

The highly anticipated CNG version of the Tata Nexon, which will be India’s first CNG vehicle with a turbo-petrol engine, is expected to arrive the earliest. It was on display at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo this year, and multiple times, it was observed being tested on our roads. Moreover, an automatic gearbox may be available for the Tata Nexon iCNG. The same dual-cylinder technology found in the Punch, Tiago, and Tigor CNG will be installed in it. When combined with CNG, the 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine’s power and torque output will be slightly reduced.

Hyundai Alcazar facelift

There will be enough difference between the updated Creta and the Alcazar facelift. Hyundai’s upcoming major release, the Alcazar facelift, is scheduled for September through October. Alcazar will keep some of its distinctive features while receiving styling updates akin to those of the new Creta. In addition, ADAS, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a new dashboard with two linked digital displays, and more will be included in the Alcazar facelift. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol (160 horsepower) and 1.5-liter diesel (115 horsepower) engines will remain available for the three-row SUV, with options for manual or automatic gearboxes.

Mahindra Thar 5-door

The mid-year launch of the Mahindra Thar 5-door is planned. The SUV will be manufactured on an independent production line and may go by the name Thar Armada. With its larger infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, it will be more equipped than the Thar 3-door. More intriguingly, the entry-level Thar 5-door will also be available with a 1.5-liter diesel with RWD configuration, making it a competitively priced model. The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engines will remain available with both 4WD and 2WD options.

Tata Curvv EV

According to our sources, the company will make its debut of the close-to-production Tata Curvv at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in September, after which it will first introduce its electric vehicle (EV) iteration. It will remain built on the same platform even though it will be 313 mm longer and have a 62 mm longer wheelbase than the Nexon. Technical specifications are still lacking, but it should have a range of 500–450 kilometers. The Curvv’s unique SUV-coupe-like design will help it stand out, but the inside will resemble the Nexon quite a bit. In the market for midsize electric SUVs, the Curvv EV will soon have competition from vehicles like the Maruti eVX and the Hyundai Creta EV.

Mahindra XUV.e8

The XUV.e8, which will go on sale later this year, will be the first of Mahindra’s upcoming line of electric SUVs. The seven-seat SUV will essentially be an electric variant of the XUV700, sharing some of its exterior body panels and interior design thanks to Mahindra’s INGLO born-electric architecture. For almost a year now, Mahindra has been thoroughly testing the XUV.e8, and during that time, the car has been spotted with a number of distinctive design cues that will help distinguish the manufacturer’s born EVs. Mahindra has additionally verified that the XUV.e8 will feature up to 80kWh of battery packs and an all-wheel-drive system. There will be power outputs ranging from 230 horsepower to 350 horsepower.
