BYD Atto 3

Price: The BYD Atto 3 comes in a single trim priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India). It also gets a special edition that costs Rs 34.49 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).

Boot Space: The electric SUV offers a boot space of 440 litres that can be expanded to 1,340 litres by tumbling down the second row.

Seating Capacity: It is offered in a 5-seater configuration.

Battery, Electric Motor and Range: The Atto 3 gets a 60.48kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor making 204PS and 310Nm. It comes with an ARAI-claimed range of 521km and gets a front-wheel drivetrain. The electric SUV can sprint from zero to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds.

Charging: The Atto 3 supports three charging options: a 7kW AC charger that can juice up the battery in around 10 hours, an 80kW DC fast charger which can refill the battery from nought to 80 per cent in 50 minutes and a 3kW AC portable charger.

Features: Features on board the Atto 3 include a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 6-way powered driver seat. An 8-speaker sound system, wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof and keyless entry are also a part of its features list.

Safety: It gets seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages. It also gets advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) features like forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, blind spot detection, auto emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

Rivals: The Atto 3 is a premium alternative to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric. It can also be regarded as an affordable option to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
