BYD Seal

Latest Update: The BYD Seal has scored a full 5-star safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash tests.

Launch: It is expected to arrive in India by November 2023.

Price: The BYD Seal is expected to be priced from Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Battery, Range and Powertrain: The India-spec BYD Seal could get a long-range 82.5kWh battery pack mated to a dual motor setup for the output of 530PS and 670Nm. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 700km. Overseas, BYD also offers a smaller 61.4kWh battery pack which can deliver up to 550km of range.

Features: Features onboard the BYD Seal include rotating 15.6-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. It also gets a panoramic glass roof.

Safety: In terms of passenger safety, the BYD Seal comes with multiple airbags, full-suite ADAS tech, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and blind spot monitoring.

Rivals: The BYD Seal will rival the BMW i4, while being an alternative to the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Volvo C40 Recharge.
