Latest Update: The Jeep Meridian Overland edition has been launched in India.

Price: The Jeep Meridian is priced from Rs 33.40 lakh to Rs 38.61 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The prices for the special editions – Meridian X and Meridian Upland – of the SUV range between Rs 34.02 lakh and Rs 38.63 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Variants: It is offered in two trims: Limited and Limited (O). Jeep also offers the 3-row SUV in three special editions: Meridian X, Meridian Upland, and Meridian Overland.

Colours: It comes in one monotone and four dual-tone shades: Brilliant Black, New Pearl White with Black roof, Magnesio Grey with Black roof, Techno Metallic Green with Black roof and Velvet Red with Black roof. The X edition comes with a Sliver Grey colour option, while the Upland edition gets a new Galaxy Blue Shade.

Seating Capacity: Jeep’s 3-row SUV can seat up to seven people.

Boot Space: It comes with a boot space of 170-litre. After tumbling the third row, this capacity can be increased to 481 litres; and with both second and third rows folded, it goes up to 824 litres.

Engine and Transmission: The Jeep Meridian comes with a 2-litre -diesel engine (170PS/350Nm). This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional 9-speed automatic. 4-wheel drive (4WD) is only available on the top-end automatic. There is currently no petrol unit available.

Features: Jeep has equipped with amenities such as a 10.1-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, and dual-zone climate control. It also features reclinable 2nd and 3rd-row seats (up to 32 degrees), wireless phone charging, and an Alpine-tuned sound system with nine speakers. The Upland edition also includes ambient lighting.

Safety: In terms of safety, it gets six airbags (standard), electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a 360-degree camera.

Rivals: The Jeep Meridian takes on the likes of full-size SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and the Skoda Kodiaq.
