Mahindra XUV 3XO

Latest Update: Mahindra dropped a new teaser for the XUV 3XO (XUV300 facelift) revealing the interior of the subcompact SUV. The performance and mileage figures of the XUV 3XO have also been teased.

Launch: It is expected to be launched by May 2024.

Price: Mahindra could price the XUV 3XO from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Seating Capacity: It will continue to be a 5-seater offering.

Engine and Transmission: The Mahindra XUV 3XO will continue using the same petrol and diesel options as the outgoing XUV300: It includes a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit (110 PS /200 Nm), 1.5-litre diesel engine (117 PS / 300 Nm) and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (130 PS /up to 250 Nm). All engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, while the turbo petrol also gets an optional 6-speed AMT.

We also expect Mahindra to offer a torque converter automatic transmission option with the diesel and turbo-petrol (T-GDi).

Features: The XUV300 facelift (now called the XUV 3XO) is expected to get a dual-display setup, cruise control, cooled seats, and dual-zone AC. It will also get a wireless phone charger and possibly a segment-first panoramic sunroof as well.

Safety: Its safety package could include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera.

Rivals: The Mahindra XUV 3XO will continue its rivalry with the Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, upcoming Skoda sub-4m SUV, and the two sub-4m crossovers: Maruti Fronx and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.
