Vehicle Overview
Introduction
Launched in India in October 2014, the Maruti Ciaz was brought to the Indian car market as a replacement for its SX4 sedan. The sedan has done significant sales in the country, and in April 2017, Maruti Suzuki shifted the sales and distribution of the Ciaz from Arena dealerships to NEXA dealerships, a network of dealership outlets for Maruti Suzuki’s high-end models. In August 2018, the Ciaz went through an update and launched as a facelift model. As a part of the Toyota-Maruti collaboration, Toyota rebadged and sold the Ciaz as the Toyota Belta in some Middle Eastern regions beginning in 2021.
Maruti Nexa Ciaz Design and Style
2023 Maruti Ciaz boasts a sharp and bold design language. The front facade gets a multi-pixel design front grille with chrome surroundings. The headlamp cluster, with an all-LED projector headlight, DRLs, and chrome borders, looks extremely appealing. Below is the three-slat air dam, which extends to LED fog lamps on both sides.
Maruti Nexa Ciaz Engine and Gearbox
Powering the new Maruti Ciaz is a 1462cc, 1.5-L, 4-cylinder, DOHC, K15 smart hybrid petrol engine which is capable of churning out 103 HP at 6000 rpm and max torque of 138 Nm at 4400 rpm when coupled to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
