MG eHS

Latest Update: MG has unveiled the eHS EV at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Launch: It is expected to be launched in India by February 2024.

Expected Price: It is expected to be priced from Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

Engine and Transmission: The international-spec model is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit mated to an electric motor which takes power from the 16.6kWh battery pack, with a combined output of 258PS and 370Nm. The electric motor offers a WLTP claimed range of 52km (EV only).

Features: It gets a 10.1-inch information system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker audio system with 3-D sound. It also gets auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers and dual-zone AC.

Safety: Passenger safety is taken care of by multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and a 360-degree camera. Furthermore, it is equipped with full suite advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functionalities including autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist (LKA) with lane departure warning system and rear cross-traffic alert.

Rivals: MG eHS will compete against the likes of Citroen C5 Aircross, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tucson.
