When was the MG eRX5 launched in India?

The eRX5 was on display at the Auto Expo held in Delhi on 11 January 2023.

What variants will it get?

The eRX5 will most likely only be available in one variant in India.

How is the design of the eRX5?

The SUV’s front end is dominated by a massive grille that resembles Lexus’ spindle grille. Nonetheless, it gets slim LED headlights with integrated DRLs on top. The fog lamps are vertically mounted on the lower bumper. On the sides, the door handles are also flushed, giving it a very smooth silhouette.

The eRX5 has a couple of like a roofline with an extended spoiler integrated into it at the back. Then there are the sleek inverted-C-shaped LED taillights that are linked to an LED strip that runs the width of the boot lid.

What features are available in the eRX5?

The SUV has a single-piece, 27-inch screen that spans the width of the dashboard. Aside from that, the eRX5 features a three-spoke steering wheel, an upright centre console with a brushed aluminium finish, a crystal gear selector, and tan leather upholstery.

What are the engine, performance and specifications of the eRX5?

The eRX5 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to an electric motor, producing 243bhp and 570Nm of torque.  A 10-speed automatic transmission will be available.

Is the ERX5 a safe car?

The SUV has not yet been evaluated for safety ratings.

What is the price of the eRX5?

In India, the MG eRX5 is expected to cost Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).

What are the rivals to the eRX5?

The MG eRX5 will compete with the Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, and Hyundai Tucson.
