Latest Update: The MG ZS EV’s prices have been slashed by up to Rs 2.30 lakh for the festive season.

Price: Its prices now range from Rs 22.88 lakh to Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).

Variants: MG offers the ZS EV in three broad variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Exclusive Pro.

Seating Capacity: The electric SUV can seat five passengers.

Colours: MG offers it in four colours: Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Starry Black and Candy White.

Battery Pack, Electric Motor and Range: The ZS EV comes equipped with a 50.3kWh battery pack mated to an electric motor that churns out 177PS and 280Nm. With this setup, it claims a driving range of 461km.

Charging: The ZS EV takes around 8.5 to nine hours to fully recharge the battery using a 7.4kW AC charger, while a 50kW DC fast charger can refill the battery from 0-80 per cent in just 60 minutes.

Features: Features on board the ZS EV include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, and a powered driver seat. It also gets connected car tech and a wireless phone charger.

Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and hill descent control. It also gets a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including lane keep assist and departure warning, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and autonomous emergency braking.

Rivals: The MG ZS EV locks horns with the Hyundai Kona Electric, BYD Atto 3 and the upcoming Maruti eVX. It can also be considered a premium alternative to the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV which sit a segment below.
