The Tata Nexon was and continues to be one of India’s most iconic SUVs, as the undisputed leader of its segment. Month after month, the Nexon has proven to be Tata’s hero product. With the release of the Nexon’s most recent facelift, the SUV has reached new heights of popularity. The Tata Nexon, which offers superb reliability, best-in-class safety, and impressive practicality, has truly captured the festive season like a boss, selling 16,887 units and registering a commendable year-on-year growth of 23% to emerge as the best-selling compact SUV of the month as well as the third best-selling car of the month. Boasting a perfect 5-star safety rating, the Nexon is one of the few cars in India offered across petrol, diesel. The Nexon Facelift is available with either a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol or a 1.5- litre turbocharged diesel engine, as well as a six-speed manual/AMT transmission. The Nexon facelift’s mileage figure is now slightly better than its predecessor, at 24.08 km/l for diesel and up to 17.44 km/l for petrol, making the Nexon a viable option among competitors.

The Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and comes with a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT transmission. The Punch, like several other Tata vehicles, has a perfect 5-star safety rating.
Tata Tiago
The Tata Tiago hatchback, which launched Tata’s market revival in 2016, has since become one of the company’s best-selling vehicles. The Tiago is one of the safest hatchbacks available, with a muscular yet elegant design, great features, and a 4-star safety rating. The Taigo’s success stems from the fact that it is the only hatchback available with petrol, CNG, and even an all-electric powertrain. Despite registering a 25% year-on-year decline in sales, the Tiago was the third-best-selling Tata car and the eighth-best-selling hatchback in October 2023, selling a total of 5,356 units. The Tiago is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. CNG trims are only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Mileage figures for gasoline can reach 19 km/l and CNG can reach 26.49 km/kg. The Tiago is also available in all-electric form, with two battery pack options that provide a range of 250 to 315 kilometers.
Tata ALtroz
The Tata Altroz, the gold standard of premium hatchbacks, created quite a stir when it was first introduced in the market in 2020. The Altroz is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. All engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, with the naturally aspirated petrol engine getting a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission. CNG trims are also available, with the 1.2-litre engine mated to a single 5-speed manual transmission. Mileage figures of up to 19.33 km/l for petrol and 23.60 km/l for diesel make the Altroz an excellent choice.
